Jalapeno. Sown 12 April - potted up 23 April - & there they have stayed!

No coherent root system. So out they have gone in the hope that a grow bag will wake them up.

But as I mooted earlier, a bit late in the day?

try a little bit of seaweed solution as a tonic, it usually helps, also, if you have another pepper plant growing well, a pinch of compost/soil from around that plant, sprinkled on the compost/soil of the poorly one will also help (beneficial microflora/microfauna) rgds, Tony ;)
You couldn't make it up!

calendula

so do I, belting stuff to remedy anything that needs a tonic but I also bet the pepper catches up after a nudge  :)

Tim, my Apache chillies are like that - as are my ferline, marmande, golden sunrise, tigerella, beefsteak, grosse lisse and some other toms....all seeded Feb - all bonsai'd. :'(  Never happened before and I hope never will happen again. Thank goodness for a freezerbagful of chillies and a trayful of gifted marmande and red cherry tomatoes - also sown in Feb in an unheated greenhouse and just a few houses down the road from where I live - all big sturdy plants. So what happened? Is it because I'm at the top of the hill and the altitude defeated them? ;D

tim

The altitude's certainly defeating me - can barely get out to the greenhouse before my legs fail. Had this bug for 10 days now. C's been very ill with it. P's not much better!

lorna

Really sorry to hear that Tim, hope you are all soon feeling better.

AFter you've chug-a-lugged some seaweed can you see a doctor?  (that's the nurse in me talking)
Hope you mend soon, Tim.
The handle on your recliner does not qualify as an exercise machine.

Nice to know you're being looked after, Tim! Take it easy...

I'd send you a chilli plant but suspect it'd get broken in the mail. Ours have done very well this year, despite only 1 in 3 germination. Think it's because I was determined this time to repot them regularly until they got into 8" pots, so they didn't get too leggy. But then this year I can't get any beans to germinate so you win some, you lose some!
