Make a list of the unused ones and take it to the council.
Some councils don't provide many resources to deal with enquiries,
so get down there and actually speak to someone.

with pictures, both of the unused ones, and your own , show them what a good plot looks like, just in case they don't know the difference  ;D

How can your sister have moved down the list- is it because they know she's sharing yours?

STEVEB

it is so frustrating when this happens check out your rules,if their is a clause that says all plots should be actively used gather evidense and get the inactive users kicked off
If it ain't broke don't fix it !!

Sadly there is no common law or rule with this which means we can not help you with that problem here.

Find out who is directly responsible for the allotments in your area.

The PORTFOLIO HOLDER FOR ALLOTMENTS at the County Council is the one you need to contact. Your local county councillor will have this information available to her/him.

If it is a private site then you will just have to abide with whatever they say.

Ours are council run, and once the rent is paid that's it for the year ::)
Silly, but that's how it is. I can't see how your sister can go lower on the list either, though having said that, there are always 12 people waiting on our list somehow. Hope you get some joy Lillylottie.
Smile, it confuses people.
