Ive just taken on a new Plot at Quarry Road, Eaglescliffe - Ive only ever grown a few strawberrys and salad leaves in my backyard (concrete) so I think im up for a big challenge!! (Its the plot before Lacelotte's!!!) - follow my progress on my blog - any advice would be gratefully received.

Welcome, Jill- I should think you did get it free until October in that state! Take it a bit at a time and get something planted soon to encourage yourself! Feel free to ask the most basic questions- everyone here's been a beginner at one time!

I cant see why you have had to wait 2 years when clearly that plot has not been used for over 2 years.  Well done for getting a plot.  Don't give in and you will reap great rewards - from next year ;D ;D ;D
