What, All of them?

Sounds like the two legged variety who can't be bothered to go to Wilko's and buy its own.

I grow in my back garden with 6ft fence all around.  With security lights... does seem a bit weird though  :'( :'( :'(

Are you sure the potatoes were dead? Maybe they were hibernating and burrowed out when they woke up.

sawfish

I saw a grey squirrel do it in my plot. Also rats have been known to  :-\

but ALL of them???

on closer inspection, and calling my neighbour round, it looks like cat paw marks all over the sacks I am growing in.  Found on potato in one bag, so they missed one!!.

im wondering if they decided it was a toilet and dug them deeper  :-\ :-\

Jeannine

I bet that is it, they have buried them, get a scoop and take a look. If you find them still in there partially  staple the tops of the bags till green starts to show.

Such is the challeng of gardening.

I grow everything in my garden, so its a mystery to me to be honest.

My neighbours both sides love my garden.

For months I have had suspicions that something is coming in the garden, because on having my neighbour round tonight he reminded me of other plants that have been mysteriously dug up.  Two clematis were dug up last time.
It must be some animal.  We just cant work out what lol.

Wat animal would dig up Clematis?Sounds odd to me. :-\

Tin Shed

What about foxes - they like digging and removing things!

Tin Shed

Just another thought - have you been using blood, fish and bone as a fertilizer as apparently foxes dig where it has been used.

Funnily enough its only where I have used manure.  But just had a look at foxes footprints, and they do look very very similar to cats.
I wonder Tin Shed if you have solved the mystery!!!!!!

Oh you do need Zoo Poo then..you will find a source for that on the net tooLOL

Male urine is usually enough to keep a fox away - cheaper than zoo poo  :)
