If telly hadn't been so dull last night it would have been perfectly safe to reduce my passata for freezing into cubes........but it put me to sleep. My favourite saucepan too. >:(

Take care out there

Youch, did the same with my preserving pan a few weeks ago!
Soaked it overnight with bio washing powder, as per Tim's advice, then the OH went to it with a wallpaper stripper tool! :o :o (If that hadn't worked was going to try oven cleaner!)
Good as new now ;D
Makes ya spit though doesn't it!
We don't inherit the earth, we only borrow it from our children.

Thanks for passing on the tip D-P  :)

In the '40s, we spent all pm picking Rosehips for syrup for the boys.

Put them in the pan with the sugar - or whatever one did then - on the electric ring - forgot & went to bed.

In the morning, the pan was ruined & there was a 5"X12" column of 'lava' rising out of the pan & descending to the floor!!

Oh, well - have to try??

Did the same last week. Was so interested in posts on A4A That forgot I had dogs daily chicken boiling away. Thank goodness for smoke alarms, was only an old saucepan kept for her chicken. She still ate the chicken thighs!!
