They are lovely , mine are just starting to go over now, we have a huge amount in this garden we moved to i love them.

I grew mine from seed a couple of years back.  Still no flowers.  I will have to plant them out somewhere and see if they will do the business next year.

We bought five blue ones last year, and they all flowered.  This year they've spread in the pot, and we have dark blue, mid blue and white.  Don't know how they managed it, but we'll keep them in that pot for another year.  We've had a fantastic display from them.

Might have to get some dwarfs as the Flower stems are almost horizontal with all the heavy showers we have had this last two weeks!

If you can get them 'Lilliput' is a dwarf variety and a wonderful dark blue  ;D

This year when I went to Hampton Court flower show, I bought a miniture white 'Double Diamond' the flowers are as the name implies - double - looks like a star burst  ;D but they did not set seed  :'( ... yet  ;)

I would like to ask if it is best to cut the heads off when they have finished flowering or leave on,
if it is cut off, do you cut right down the stem or just the head.

I will keep some seeds to put into pots.

They're really breath-taking. I keep wanting to get some but worry whether they'll survive our northern climate in Edinburgh. Also do slugs and snails like them? They look eminently munchable!

Can't say about the climate but no our Molluscs leave them alone and eat the Dahlias instead...

I have had Agapanthus this year for the first time.  They were lovely and now they have magnificent seed heads.  What should I do? Let them dry and plant them, leave them on to look wonderful in the frost? or Be-head them?

I have seen them growing here in West Lothian, Anne.  Might give them a try myself next year.  They will probably need to be overwintered in a sheltered spot (or unheated green house)
