Awww, isn't he sweet!  :D  I guess he got a bit camera shy and jumped into the water in the second pic, you know what they say, when you're a celebrity the papparattzi are always ready with camera in hand! Your pond looks very healthy, what other wildlife have you had attracted by it?

Haha ! ...Jess....I just love my froggies, and bore everyone silly with pics !!   ::)  Just can't resist snapping them !  ;D Posted a pic here the other day of damselflies, and just get the usual pondskaters and common snails. Got 2 very small wildlife ponds, one in shade and t'other in full sun. The taddies grow much quicker in the sunny one, but shady one stays much, much clearer. Tried umpteen small fish, but never survived the winters, even tho' decent amount of mud in bottom! Have you got a pond Jess ?

Great photos Di. I love frogs, we have loads visiting our pond.  Also when I am out slug & snail hunting when it is dark I often catch a frog looking at me in the beam of my torch as if to say 'don't worry, I'll dispose of some of them for you' :D

Hi MD,

Interesting comment ...

"Got 2 very small wildlife ponds, one in shade and t'other in full sun. The taddies grow much quicker in the sunny one..."

I didn't realise that!  Has now answered my query on why my taddies haven't got legs yet.

Hi Debs

Another little bit of info I remember from helping cubs and brownies years ago......... spawn laid around Easter school hols turns into hopping babies about the time summer term finishes !!  ;D

MD, no I don't have a pond although I would love one and I'm sure the wildlife in my garden would be grateful for one too. I tend to get carried away with myself when it comes to things like that and I'd probably end up with a small sized lake rather than a pond. As I have two little children I would need to wait until they're bigger and more sensible before I do anything like that.
