Cowslips, mignonette, nasturtiums, marigolds - part of my childhood.

They have outlasted the daffs, narciss, magnolia - & they are giving the dandelions a good run for their money!

What nicer, more natural & nostalgic?? = Tim

Lovely photo of the cowslips Tim.  Takes me back to my childhood during the war when I was sent to my cousins in Wiltshire.  Remember seeing loads of them growing wild in the fields.  I always like to have some in my garden.
Happy gardening all...........Pat

Lovely piccys Tim.  Why dont the powers that be in the Highways  sow loads and loads of our natural and native flowers/plants along motorways and major roads..... loads of space,  loads of uninhabited areas and lots of wild life?
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.

My girls had a childrens book when they were little, that was about an eldery lady that, wherever she went she sprinkled delphinium seeds, and yup you guesses it her whole town was covered with colour, and when she went to the great garden in the sky, the whole town had the flowers to remember her by!

Mimi, maybe we should all sprinkle native seeds wherever we go, and make our countryside an even more beautiful place to look at! (Hmmmm not a bad idea, now theres a thought if we could all get free seeds from somewhere, we could go national!)  ;D Dottie P.
We don't inherit the earth, we only borrow it from our children.
