Honestly, I hadn't been on the gin or anything, and I looked like a cartoon character!  Both feet up in the air and me banging all the way down on my back and backside.  Bruised, OH YES!  Sat on the stairs sobbing (bless) and daughter number one came out.....'mum, what's wrong?'  'fell down the stairs darling' 'Oh, do you need to go to the doctors or anything?' 'No thank you darling' 'Oh, okay then, bye' and off she went!  No cuddle, no concerns.  Pah!  Kids!!  :)  Off to rest and relieve my aching bits in a hot bubble bath now.  :'(

Poor you - an affront to your dignity as well as bruises.  Hope the bath helped.  :)
At least the little one checked you were ok, she probably thought if it had been her she would have quite enjoyed bumping down the stairs -  kids generally seem to be made of rubber.

Oh EJ you must be careful it is surprising what damage you can do to your self.  I bet you will be a bit stiff tomorrow.  Hot bath will do you the world of good ;D

Just take things easy if you can  ???  ???

Oh dear EJ that's sounds painful  :'(!  A lovely hot bath sounds just what the doctor ordered, hope it's done you some good.  You'll ache tomorrow (as well as have the bruises!) but make sure you take it easy  :-* x
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened

If it can make you feel any better, Emma - No1 Daughter was arranging the easels for her class today, & a really heavy one fell on her leg.

Luckily, No2 Daughter was here & she's a nurse. Ambulance to Cheltenham A&E & 24 stitches. Leg up for 5 days!!

This is NOT to outshine your poor buised predicament - merely to show how fortunate some of us are.

And, yes - what the Doctor ordered. But not Gin, of course.

Do NOT let this divert your attention from Emma's problem area!!

Well, EJ.......that ploy didn't work very well did it?

What you're thinking up for next time to try and get a cuddle, God only knows.

Hope the bubble bath helped Emma. It must be a week for acrobatic actions. I know how you feel. Don't ask ;D

Mrs Ava

By 'eck my bum hurts!  (ooo, I came over all Alan Titchmarsh then!)  Very painful to sit down, but the bath did help, and so have all your kind thoughts and cyber hugs.  :-*   I broke my coccyx when number one son was born and the pain from that was phenominal and there is no way I want to go through that again, so I shall endevour to take more care when running up and down the stairs.

Tim, hope daughter number one is doing okay.  24 stitches is rather a lot - just the thought makes me queasy.

Ken, I think it will have to involve chocolate - a lot less painful. :-\

Mrs Ava

Amazin, you are AMAZING!  It was a Lush bath bomb that I had.  The water turned day-glo pink and was so soft.  Felt lovely.

Thanks folks.  I am feeling a lot better today.  Worked hard in the cold, lots of digging, someone elses veg patch!!  If it snows tomoz, I am staying home and taking it easy.  ;D

So sorry to hear about your accident Emma, that sounds nasty.  Glad you are taking it easy. Go on give yourself a pamper, not often you have the excuse. Not much of a consolation but it could have happened in the middle of spring or summer, and I bet that doesn't bear thinking about.  Take care!  :-* busy_lizzie
