Hi Barnowl,

We had this Jamie recipe for Christmas, (and have made it many times since) and it was easy to do and tasted GREAT!
Have changed a few bits to suit us.
Can leave out the meat for the vegetarians!

Fifteen Christmas salad

3 1/2 Tablespoons fresh lemon Juice (approx 1 Lemon)
10 tablespoons extra virgin Olive Oil
salt & Fresh ground Pepper

Put it all in a jam jar and shake, taste to adjust seasoning.
This is your Lemon Oil Dressing

For the salad....Serves 4
1 Large Ball Buffalo Mozzarella
1 Lemon
4 Clementines, peeled and sliced
2 Handful of rocket washed and dried
Bad baby mixed salad leaves
Small bunch of fresh mint leaves
4 Slices Prosciutto (we use cheapo serrano from Lidls!!)
Freshly shaved Parmesan Cheese
Aged balsamic

mix the salad leaves and mint leaves, drizzle with a little of the dressing, put onto 4 plates.
Break up mozzerella ball and divide amongst plates.
Season with salt & Pepper and grate lemon zest over.
Rip up the meat and divide amongst plates.
Add Clementines.
Serve with a shaving of parmesan and a drizzle of balsamic,

Lovely!

You can get the parmesan & mozerrella from Lidls too!

No LIDL's near me  :'(

Younger brother in Folkestone keeps winding me up by telling me about his latest bargain from them.

How long do you want to spend making it and do you know anything in particular that the guests like?
Guess fish is out of the question as the starter and meat wouldn't seem right before a fish dish.

Barnowl

Thanks Mokanoo, but all sorted now.  A very little bit of JA soup followed by the salad. Quick and easy!
