I have been away from the site for a v. long time as we have had a pretty major problem (as a few of you know).  I am 32 weeks pregnant and was told early on that we had some severe brain development issues with the baby.  This has hit us really hard as we had such a lovely time with our daughter's pregnancy and between 20 and 32 weeks were unable to find the cause and therefore unable to tell us the possible outcome from totally dependent child to dyslexia.  Anyway, had to trapse to Sheffield again yesterday and found out that everything is looking totally normal now and the issues have all resolved themselves.

Not only is it going to be the best Christmas ever but I'm going to have a baby in 8 weeks.

Oh, and I'd better now get OH down the lottie to see what kind of state it's in!

As you can tell, I'm a little excited and a little relieved.

Happy Christmas everyone!!!

Fantastic news, you must be so relieved, it's horrible when things go wrong with little ones. I'm so pleased for you, what a lovely christmas present :)

Lazybones that is brilliant news.  We had similar but not for such a long time with our third child so I know what an awful time you must have had and I am so glad it is all better now.  Have a wonderful restful christmas and hope everything goes well for you from now on.  Take care.  T.

Wopnderful news for you- we too had a scare with our 3rd, but it only lasted 3 weeks, so you must have been through a terrible time. Have a great Christmas and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!

I fully appreciate and relate to your joy of elation. We had a similar problem when my son was born. He was rushed into neo-natal unit, into an incubator within a few hours of being born. Things worked themselves out for the better thank God.

Thank you all so much for your kind words and thoughts.  It was fantastic to spend 3 hours awake during the night while the baby was kicking without worrying constantly.  Even though I'm a little tired this morning.  Still, better get used to it again  ;D
