Skinny peppers and other things.

I have grown T&M's Jumbo Sweet peppers for the first time.I don't  mind the fact that they aren't particularly jumbo, but they aren't very fleshy either. Grown outside in pots on a south facing wall.Am I expecting too much or would another variety do better? As a first year of growing more than toms and beans, I feel like I'm dancing in the dark as to what to expect.(Also some brussels looking a bit blousey, others just budding.)

Ours are rather the same (I can't remember the variety).  They're quite prolific, but as you say, thin-walled.  But they're very tasty for all that.

Funny you should mention that - I had that question on my list last year to ask my supplier.

But this year all mine - indoors - are well up to Dutch standard.

Yes - we have Sprouts blowing.

depends on your location, a g/h might have been better as well as a bigger pot + feeding - also for sprouts 'blowing', can be the use of manure which they don't really like

Thanks, all. Will agree about the flavour M12, and it's comforting for a new plottie like me to hear that even your sprouts are blowing Tim!! ;D
Although it's milder here in the south east,maybe in the greenhouse would be better for peppers.Trouble is, it's a 'one person' greenhouse -8x4 so not a lot of room unless I rearrange things-------which I could do.(plan forming now).

Didn't realise sprouts didn't like manure, C. Think I must revise my bedtime reading. :-\
