Lovely
What it the intense blue flower by the shed?

MrsKP

It's a good old Petunia "Summer Mix".  Another two have popped out to join it since I took the pic.  I do love going for a morning stroll to see what's happened over night !

Been keeping an eye on the wind and have just gone out to rescue the hanging basket which is now nicely tucked up in the g/h.

And thanks for the nice comments people.

;D

Thanks Mrs. KP will look out for it.  I love bright blue flowers.

MrsKP

I should have said they were from Suttons.  In actual fact they're a bit more purple than blue but then purple is my fave colour !

The rest of the mix (going from what's on the photo on the packet) are cerise pink, paler pink, varigated pink/white.  I can't wait for the rest to appear.

Cor you cram it in there girl!  Amazing and all so fresh and healthy!  I like getting up really early, honest, sometimes, well, once in a while..... :-\ and walking bare foot around the garden...feeling the cold morning dew on your tootsies whilst avoiding the long slugs  >:( as they slither off for the day.  Everything looks so perky and fresh before the heat of the day has taken it's toll.  Keep those photies coming Mrs!  ;D

erm ........ i don't need asking twice.  :P nothing much is really appreciated by "heem" so i'm chuffed to bits to show off my patch.

i think i have commited the cardinal sin of over crowding though.  the poor runners are lost in what is now known as the sweetpea bed !  i can't wait to get my hands on a proper lottie and have room to breath a bit.

As a matter of interest  what  diameter is ok for the tubes (IE  for celery etc)  Just a thought that if we manage this "meet up" in Oct. and I come by car I could load car with tubes for anyone who wants them. (The tubes are what son's vinyl is on, he just puts them in the recycle skip)

MrsKP

take your middle fingers and thumbs and form a circle .... about 3-4" ?

i put the tubes on after so they're not solid but just wrapped around, but next year i think put them on as soon as they were potted up (never done it before so i don't know if that would work i.e. would enough light get down the tube to make them grow ??

i've got some poster packing tubes from the office which are solid and could be cut into 18" lenghts but couldn't use those this year without breaking the stems.

Gardengirl

Loved stroling through your garden KP.  Particularly interested in the celery - will definitely have a go at growing it in pots as the stuff you see in the supermarkets is absolute c**p (if you'll pardon my language ;D).  I don't think the celery growers can be bothered to blanche it like they used to.
Happy gardening all...........Pat
