We had a thread earlier this year where I suggested growing 2 rows of tomatoes in a greenhouse border with a row of early nantes carrots between them. This was mainly due to the abysmal carrot fly problem on our Lotti.

Well went to thin them today and was somewhat surprised with the result.
Not bad from oop north

One day my daughter will be impressed by something I do

Fantastic - when did you plant them?
Daughter 10 years ago, carrots Feb/Apr two sowings as one only partially germinated

wow - they are good. I have lousy luck with carrots, so may well follow this one next year too....

Very good result Glow777, well done.

I always grow early carrots in my greenhouse (Royal Chantenay) but mine don't reach the same size as yours though.  Perhaps because they get harvested as soon as they are an inch or two long.  I might try the Early Nantes next year just for a change.

You say under the picture "One day my daughter will be impressed by something I do".   I think she looks very impressed and I'm sure she will get a lot of encouragement to start growing a few things herself.   ;D

wow, very impressive - my carrot tops are only an inch or so high.

Patience is something I'm getting to know well !
