.....with my sowing and planting????

I moved house three weeks ago & because of this all digging, sowing and planting at the lottie was put on hold.

Consequently I've only got sweetcorn and potatoes planted at the lottie so far and still have some onions to plant out.   This week have sowed cabbage, peas, beans, pumpkins, brussels, cauli and leeks.

Is anybody else this far behind or do you think that due to the UK's screwy weather I might still be ok???

I think you'll be fine - the plants will catch up :)

you'll be fine, I'd get the onions in though. :)

Well as you've sowed things you're not going to be too far behind most of us ...there's nothing to lose and certainly nothing to gain by not having a go.....
As said above, I guess you'll be fine

I think everyone is much later with things this year CC.  You will catch up and at least all the frost and the more difficult weather will be out of the way.  :) busy_lizzie

I too have been very busy for the last 6 weeks and only started planting at the end of last week. I'll just see how it gets on.

CC you are ahead of me. I went to the plot on Wednesday and found it underwater.  The parts which weren't underwater were a squelchy boggy mess. Suffice to say we haven't got around to putting anything in other than the garlic as we were waiting for the plot to dry out from winter before the latest downpour.

You're not far behind me, to be honest.

Mrs Ava

If this rain doesn't hold of there will be a drought and then what will we do!  ;D  I am worried that all my seedlings will have been washed away, and if the sun doesn't shine I don't know when I am going to get my sweetcorn in!  I think the seasons are so mixed up we will be picking tomatos in December!

The one thing I have noticed that hasn't been a casualty, is the weeds. Although the cultivated areas on my plot are fairly weed free, the beds waiting for planting have been taken over by masses of rampaging weeds, so this is a task for next week I think, so I can start planting out tomatoes, pumpkins, courgettes and beans.

Due to the weather I'm behind as well.  The soil has been too cold and wet, so I've been sowing indoors at home.  Now the soil warm but too wet... :-\ ;D ;D  Curry's right about the weeds though.. >:(  Am planning a Blitzkrieg on those over the weekend, as soon as I get a spade to replace the spade and fork that were nicked last week, 4th bl**dy time...  but I'm going off topic now

Sheldon, Birmingham.  I've put the pin on Google Earth where my shed is, in the allotments.  It's in an area with a satellite photo which is cool!  You can't miss it, there's a bl**dy great big Airport next door!
