Mimi

Other half decided that we needed a new swing seat after our ancient one rotted away.  So he used up some wood he had saved from dismantling an old pergola from the side of the house.  This is the main frame

This is the seat that he is going to base the swing seat on minus the legs of course..........

This is the frame now that it has been stained

Now all we have to do is wait for more wood to make the seat, get the material and foam for cushions and Bobs yer uncle........ ;D

Tulipa

Aaaaw Mimi, I had forgotten about Aberkhan fabrics!  I got some wonderful bargains when we lived in Cheshire 10-12years ago.  Used to go to the one at Flint I think it was.  They sold brilliant stuff.  We have a waterproof picnic mat thing which cost £1.50 and is still doing us proud, everyone remarks on how good it is.  I wish I was near enough now, will have to have another holiday in North Wales!

Mimi

Thats the same one I go to Tullipa.  Its at Mostyn Dock.  Fabulous place for anyone who sews or enjoys craftwork.  Brilliant bargains.  The day we went to buy all the material for the curtains in our present home, Aberkhan had a massive 75% off everything day.... Bliss,  I couldn't move with all the stuff I bought  ;)  I knew that I should have taken the trailer ;D

Well at very long last I have finished making the cushion covers for the swing seat.  Also had enough for the canopy too.   Now where's that large gin and tonic?  ;D

Pergola built 3 years ago after we moved in the year before.

TV/video/stereo cabinet built last year.

These are just a few of the things he's made.  Hes not a carpenter or a joiner its just his hobby, and he loves working with wood. (much to  our benefit too  ;D )
