:-\ although Iv had a greenhouse 4yr's  I can't decide when to take
the insulation down, this years been so funny (funny yuk not funny ha ha)
weatherwise it's knocked my confidence.  do I take it down to let light in
and maybe kill everything off or wait a bit and have leggy seedlings?
now I'm in this forum I thought I could maybe found out what everybody
else is doing

So long as they're not 'soft' seedlings, I would go for light every time. If they can't stand the cold, they shouldn't have been born.

And that's a reminder to others to get their glass clean

It is a bit of a trade of for me, I have the house lined as it is heated. The bubble wrap stays on from November through to April and then I start to remove the wrap under the roof during the day to help light come though.

Recent mild weather has meant the heater has hardly come on for the last 4 days so I am tempted to start removing the wrap sooner during the day as it is so grey out there and the long range forecast is saying more of the same for the next 10 days.

I left my bubble film up for about four years letting it act as shade during the summer, when i took it down last spring I then had to shade with coolglass.

:-[   :-[    of coarse when I said shading I meant insulation but you new what I wuz on about  didn't you   I'v got a heater with a thermostat so
I suppose I'm afraid my electric will soar up if I get it wrong  The sun is out but the winds cold so I may leave it a few more days
