But -
1. It was moving.
2. I was moving.
3. It was 30' away, through that not-so-clean kitchen window!

Tim at least you can see what it is!!! One of mine was sooo quick that all I got was a blur instead of a bird.  ::)

Oh but aren't they so gorgeous! :)

looks pretty good to me Tim, if you think thats bad i'll post the one i took of the ONLY time i had a woodpecker in the garden( 2 weeks ago) Atleast you can see the bird ;D
I am still waiting for my 1st long tailed visitors of the year to arrive.  They are my favourite :D  But we only ever get a 'flying' visit ;D ;D ;D

Show us!

This lot of tits 'does' the village in rotation - a regular 'run'. They all come in a flurry.

I've been seeing the odd one round the thorn tree at the bottom of the plot, but that's all.

ATLAST I saw my first 2 long tailed visitors of the year this morning, on the fat balls.

I am so pleased to see these beautiful little birds back again, they are my favoutire, no time to get the camera though, they are gone so quickly.

And now i have to remind myself there are advantages to washing up, would never have seen them if i wasn't doing the dishes. ;D

Lovely! One of my favourite birds and I've never yet managed to get a decent pic of those that visit here. Although the blue tits do try and chase them and the great tits away from the feeders.

I am so envious Tim - at least you have had the chance of snapping one.  I have NEVER seen a LTT in my garden :'(  I think that is a brilliant photo in view of the distance, well done :)
Happy gardening all...........Pat

Its a lovely pic Tim.
I have to take my birdie pics through the conservatory windows, as if i go out to do it , i know they will  be gone for sure.
So rather through glass than not at all  :)
