Last week Grandson Joshua (10) had another severe migraine. He has medication. He slept for a while and when he woke he  was sick several times. Lorna jnr. asked him if he felt a bit better. He said "Yes Mum but I do get a bit worried, Grandad kept being sick for three days and then he died"  When Lorna told me this I could have wept. Thank goodness he voiced his fears to her and she was able to put his mind at rest.. I hope he hasn't been harbouring this fear for nearly three years. He was very close to Charlie and took his death very badly. Having said that he is o.k. and often talks about the fun he had with his Grandad.

Thank goodness he is talking Lorna, so long as he keeps saying it out loud I don't think you've anything to worry about :)
If you don't make mistakes, you'll never make anything!

Tis funny the things that play on kids minds...even when they aren't really kids any more!  My dad was terrified of reaching 43.  Why, because that was the age his dad died, and low and behold.....dad harboured the fear so deeply that he had a nervous breakdown quickly followed by his first heart attack!

I am glad he has had his mind put at rest Lorna.  They are treasures, and you are lucky that he was able to talk about it.

Totally agree - it's the best thing he can do and because he is doing it there is less for you to worry about.

I also agree. I really was so relieved to know that he had spoken to Lorna. He is quite  a "thinking" lad and he knows that Lorna would tell him the truth. My son who although he has a 19year old son hasn't always been particularly good round kids. He thinks Joshua is a star, he wants to know how everything works etc. Each teacher has told me he is a pleasure to teach, one even said he is a charmer (well of course I am a bit biased ;D) At the end of the day I know he will now dismiss those thoughts from his mind., thanks to my sensible daughter.
