Hi guys!

Whilst digging my lottie I found pieces of old grave stones.  Very strange! Maybe the person before used them as stepping stones? The cemetery is opposite the site so I guess they came from there.

I was wondering what unusual things anyone else has found on their lottie? Weird veg, objects etc?

Fingers crossed that you don't find old graves!  ;D
Oddest things I've found - a brass tap and a bucket of concrete

Little bits of pottery and some pieces of clay pipe, also lots of bones, think it looks like a dogs. This conjures up the picture of a little old man, smoking a pipe, having a cup of tea with his dog by his side and when the dog dies he decides to bury him there where they have spent many happy hours together.  Just call me sentimental!   :) busy_lizzie

We have just found a stone teddybear. Taking it to a dealers to see how much it is worth. Might pay for the green house lol

Nice one Joji!  Turn up lots of old pottery, a childrens 'Noddy' saucer, and a great big long rusty key!  Still looking for that roman gold.

I find masses of bits of clay pipes. My best finds have been a couple of bits of shrapnel, and an old stone sink which was promptly stolen. I do know where it is, one day I'll get it back.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to find strange things! It is certainly an interesting life having an allotment.

Glad some of you have found uses for the things you have found! ;D
