Here are a few photos of our recent visit to the beautiful  RHS Hyde Hall in Essex.
One of the beautiful herbaceous borders.
On the bridge over one of the lakes (lovely Gunneras here)
They call this the Farmhouse Garden - I wonder why :-\
One view of The Queen Mother's Garden
The Dry Garden
The Dry Garden again - surprised to see Agapanthus growing there, didn't think they were drought tolerant :-\
View across one of the lakes. Masses of water lilies.

Great photos.   Have you been to other RHS gardens and if so, which is your favourite?  I'd really like to see Hyde Hall and also Harlow Carr.

Lovely pics Pat!  And to think, I live 10 minutes away from Hyde Hall and haven't visited!  However, kids are both at school..................now there's an idea!

Picture number 3 is fabulous, and what  a great idea putting a beautiful greek goddess statue on the bridge!

Love the pictures Pat.  Still so much colour in the gardens.  :)
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.

Been to loads of gardens but these are the first RHS gardens I have visited Obbelix - hope to go to Wisley next April as our local RHS (which I am a member of) are running a trip there.

Gardengirl. Lovely pics, almost impossible to pick a favourite but I really like the Queen Mothers Garden.  Thank you.   Lorna.

I went to Wisley a few times before and since moving here but these days seem only to get there in passing for a raid on th eplant shop, and if I'm with OH I have to be very quick as he has a short horticultural retail therapy attention span.

They are lovely pictures GG. I went to Hyde Hall a couple of years ago, I particularly liked the dry garden. I've now managed all the RHS gardens & they are lovely & quite different feel to each. Wisley is a regular haunt & there is always something different to see.

I too love Hyde Hall and it is only about 20 minutes from me. The only photos I ever come back with are pics of the name labels next to the plants so I don't have to remember the names of what I want.
