I reckon the tomatos a bit more oftem as they aren't as big as they should be yet.

Any advice

My tomatoes are in growbags and i normally do them every couple of days - roughly!

If its particulaly hot i will do them each evening to stop them drying out (i will use a feed probably once a week - if i remember!
Keep getting worried that the stuff I grow will taste nasty - or turn out poisonous!

i use a weaker mixture everyday

they have plain old water for breakfast and then a weaker feed for supper espeacilly after a hot day !!

please note i said weaker !!! and they get it everyday

When I remember!  :o  Not as often as I should, but I guess at least once every 10 days.

I suspect this is another "how long is a piece of string" question. I water and feed my toms as little as possible as I believe they taste better that way. I don't water them unless they look like they need it and feed them every two weeks or so. They're easily keeping up with the nursery bought plants some of the other gardeners have which are watered daily and fed every few days and IMHO will taste better.
One of my friends forgot a plant in an unused polytunnel one year and towards the end of the season found the sweetest toms he'd ever tasted. I'm not risking ignoring the plants for a season lol but think many plants are over-watered and over-fed.

Suspect it is hard for me to over water as they are in pots, they just can't hold that much water.

also think they need more feed because of it, lot of roots in there.

First year we ever tried growing toms ended up with blossom end rot cos we left iot a coiuple of days at a time

Growbags - similar to pots? A litre a day, each plant (x2 if it's hot) - dilute feed.

You've seen it before, but this is what happens if I forget the 2nd watering.

My toms at home in growbags on south facing 'patio' get watered twice a day at the moment, once a day in cooler weather. I am feeding them with tomorite once a week and very weak nettle liquid mid-week.

Toms on the allotment get zero feed, and I have only watered when they were transplants, and once or twice a week when I can get down there in this hot, dry weather.

between once and twice a week, depending on hangovers

I should have been christened Prudence.  I try to eek out my tomato feed and make it last as long as poss.  So, once a week it is.   All my nightshades are grown in containers and in fresh compost every year, so I reckon they don't need much more feeding.

I have been spraying almost everything this year with a seaweed foliar feed, which I regard as highly extravagant at £1.25 per bottle, but I will make that last all season.  Its excellent stuff!
