I use pea netting from B & Q between tall deep poles.Only problem is untangling it the next year.

My method is to put a stake about every 4ft with screws up it about 4" apart and use string,  works quite well.

thanks everyone
how do you keep the string tight
???

If it's the same as the stock netting I've got then it will work -used it for beans last year. Otherwise I've used chickenwire, peasticks (generally a bit short) and canes & string.  What sort of peas? How tall?

I have netting for my aldermans, twigs for my purple mange tout and chicken wire for my twinkle peas.  ;D  Have another load in the greenhouse to plant out next week.....what am I going to use for them!!??!?!?!?

Icyberjunkie

Well you've used just about everything else so how about some old string vests!    ::)
Neil (The Young Ones) once said "You plant the seed, the seed grows, you harvest the seed....You plant the seed....."   if only it was that simple!!!

I use baler band recycled from the stables, tied between last year's raspberry canes.

To keep the band tight I sink the canes into the ground at an angle then pull the band tight.

We support our peas by talking to them nicely and telling them that we will always be there for them!

(We also support Spurs - which means that peas are relatively easy to support!)
Once upon a time we were the newbies from Harley allotments. Now we're old codgers!

You've made me fell better - I support Lincoln City, a d**n site more frutrating than a complete inability to grow peas.
