These were taken at Dunham Massey, near Manchester. The deer stood within a few feet of us and were not at all bothered.

We had a similar pleasure walking through Bushy Park on the way to Hampton Court on Wednesday. Signs everywhere saying not to disturb the deer but they didn't seem bothered! Lovely pics.

If they're used to people they wouldn't be. They probably mean don't chase them, or allow your dog to do so.
