Birdlovers,  for the last 2 days a new bird has popped into my garden and I have no idea what it is, useless bird me!  My first impression is it is like a very small Jay, and I mean about the size of a sparrow.  It is brown/tan in colour with dark, almost black wings with a white stripe across the wings.  Is it some sort of finch?  I think it was eating some seed that was left on the path after the bigger birds had eaten all the other chunkier stuff.   Undecided

I think it was a Bullfinch.  Can't be 100% certain as the piccy makes it look more reddish than mine, but I shall keep 'em peeled tomorrow and try to get a better look.  Cor, you lot are clever!  Grin

Any chance of a pic of it, EJ?
Anyone know where this rabbit lives? Looks very lost to me.

What's really strange is that the doors were shut - We think our cat must've smuggled it in earlier in the day, then lost it and it took refuge in my Dads stinky trainer.
