This is me (on the right).  It was taken a few years ago before I got wise to the in-laws' tricks to get me on camera.

The website is now basically a dud but I think a few links still work so you can see my son when he was a few months old and some of my husband's interests at the time.

that pic was taken the couple of days i was down in london, and the baby is my daughter's friend's son.  he was rather shy to start with (me being a very odd grown up  :P) but he soon cosied in and we never saw any tears all day.  it did make me feel a bit grannybroody but i restrained myself from telling me daughter she could go ahead.

Nah not at all, Mr Smooth Snake was quite happy in my hand, I do volunteer reptile survey work.  Of course, I wouldn't be doing the same to an Adder...

I used to keep grass snakes when I was a kid. Lovely things with unlovely eating habits (they swallow live frogs whole), but they do have a dreadful habit of excreting horrible smelly stuff over you when startled.
