Have a few of these to plant.  Having never grown or eaten them before, curious as to how I harvest and use them.  Do I leave them to dry on the plant, or use green like regular peas?

I've had them as dried or tinned. I suppose you could use them fresh.
gone to pot :D

I've got the latest album - very good if you ask me.

I think planting any of the group would be a little unkind.

They are really nice.  But they can give you a bit of wind.  Lovely when cooked with a hamhock. Mmmm!

They are very popular in the south in America.  There is a custom of eating them on new years day to bring you luck through out the year.

You can eat them fresh like peas, They freeze really well. Or leave them to dry.

I have a nice little row of them.

Good news Martha, many thanks.  I only have a few plants as they are only a test run really to see if we like them, but they sound good to me!
