i've been reading a few posts about grass cuttings
mulch for potatoes
weed suppresser for new plot
I have too much cuttings for my compost heap. as the above has been suggested, can i use them for mulching in between my rows of veg to try and keep weeds down and what do i do with it once veg has been harvested, do i dig it in, or does it rot. i work 40-50hrs per week and find it difficult weeding as much as i should

Mrs Ava

I read in kitchen garden mag about an allotmenteer who spread it out inbetween his runner bean rows for example.  I am using it to 'earth up' and mulch my spuds.  I plan to dig it in as I dig my spuds.

I spread grass cuttings everywhere; we have it delivered to the site by the ton from local housing estates. It's good stuff.

Don't use it too thickly though or it goes all slimy.

A little and often works really well though - just dig it in at the end of season

Just make sure it has not been treated with a weedkiller before you use it as a mulch.
Gardening is the great leveller.
