I'm delighted to report that all seeds have now been safely delivered. Ruud's older seeds arrived here yesterday after all and Ruud has received his seed parcel this morning. So no losses and lots of varieties distributed successfully.

I'll contact separately those who were interested in receiving some older seeds and take it from there.

From the 2024 circle I added some tree peony seeds , I am pleased to say they have germinated!!

JanG

Congratulations! When did you sow them?

Last January, in a pot outside back of the border and received no attention until yesterday, tipped the pot up and found three seeds with three inch roots and shoot just emerging , thrived on neglect! I hope I added last summer that they are yellow.

A year ago you thought 'possible yellow flowers'. I've just altered the database to simply 'yellow flowers!

I've now entered into the Airtable base all (I hope) the information our seed circle members have posted here, plus other internet-available information, photos etc. There might be mistakes or omissions so it would be great if you could check please.

I believe there's also still information to come. Do please pass that on, either privately or here on this thread. In some cases there's no information about where seed originally came from. That can be very useful when the naming or characteristics of a variety are in doubt so, again, let me know any extra information for adding.

The base can be publicly viewed here: https://airtable.com/appDRmcjzkvIzKknK/shryC20nRNmUcgT30

If members would like to be able to manipulate the base, by sorting and grouping entries differently or switching between gallery view and grid view, for example, you will  need to use an invite link. I've sent these out to circle members a couple of times and those links should still work but let me know if you'd like me to send a fresh invite link.

I hope you find the base useful. I'm very grateful to all members for the amazing range of seeds contributed (157 varieties this year!) and for the information which adds so much in terms of preserving and perpetuating our seed heritage. It also often, of course, helps enormously with the practicalities of doing the best we can to give plants the optimal conditions to thrive.

A very happy new year to everyone and, as the year turns, very soon we will be able to look forward to some of our earliest sowings!
