Hi everyone! I am gobsmacked, but my 'Ville de Lyon' has already started flowering (I was only expecting it to start in July).

Here is a photo of my baby!!

Its next door neighbour is a purple one, Margi, which should be a little more up your street!! I will have to wait a while for that, though! Much less precocious.

Heldi

Well I love it Steve,I'm all for a hearty pink in the garden.

Me too Heldi.

Its gooooorgeous.

Clematis are just about my most favourite plant.

That's a stunner, LS.  I really like it.  Can never have enough striking pinks in the garden!  It's very big and beautiful, wd you!

Lord Steve

Thanks for all the feedback! I just love it when plants burst open and surprise you, especially when they are early!! I am now looking forward to the other beauties when summer arrives.

Marianne

Beautiful.... I hope mine turns out OK, I had to pull it about a bit yesterday. A friend had come to remove the trunks of two conifers and I had to put the frame round for the clematis. I hope I haven't upset it too much Thanks for pic, Lorna.

Beautiful. I am a complete novice but on the strength if this piccie went and found myself one of these. As I have a small garden I am only looking at the group 3 varieties.
