Allotments 4 All

I have planted broad beans about this time of from the year dot. They always fall over as I never get around to putting the supports in. This year I am going to make a net with large holes made with garden twine and sticks once they get to about a foot high. I hope they grow through it and being closely planted they should all stand to attention. I like the twine from the pound shop as it is cheap and nasty and rots in a year so the whole lot can be chucked on the compost heap when the beans are over. They should be high enough mid feb, can someone remind me

Do you 'stop' them so as get them to bush out rather than grow tall? Should this be done more than once?
Are you growing Aquaduce? or is there a 'brighstone broad'?

Never  though about stopping them. As for the Brightstone Broad she is busy this week
