Allotments 4 All

my early raspberry canes are just breaking bud quite early this year even for them  anybody else got early fruit

My Rasps haven't broken bud yet - the allotment gets such a wind chill that they're usually a bit late.

But my almond trees are both completely ready to break bud - even though they still have some of last years leaves refusing to drop ... which means that if we get any kind of spring frost all bets are off for nuts as the blossoms will out too early. 

It's a funny year for sure.

There are several blossoms on my Reuben blackberry on last year's late shoots which are still in full leaf.
