Would anyone like three elephant cloves (for planting now) in exchange for bulb or bulblets to start off Babbington leeks?

Some companies are charging over £1 for each elephant clove......mine are home grown after buying some about 5 years ago.

I think I have some I'll check ASAP and get back to you.

Thanks, look forward to hearing from you. Would you like the three elephant cloves? They are nice and big, and the strain has done very well for me.

I found three bulbs a nice size  I'll post ASAP ,yes the elephant garlic sounds great thank you. Pm your address , cheers.

Thanks, I have sent you my address and will await yours. I'll pick out three nice fat cloves, and hope they do well. Be aware that they stay underground all winter, unlike standard garlic, and do not show until early spring, when they send up thick strong encouraging leaves.

Elephant garlic posted this morning! Sorry for the slight delay, but hope they do well.

Thanks very much ,garlic is here along with the sunshine ! If you have any problems with leeks please let me know I could find some more , I think  they will be poping  up for many years.

Leeks arrived yesterday and look robust, thanks! Hope to plant them tomorrow, though we are having a lot of rain here.

Thanks again for the Babbington leeks: two are strong and robust and the third is slightly smaller - I am very pleased with them. Are the elephants well up by now? Mine are.

Ooh yes  ,they certainly have a presence ! Going great guns thanks. This is the first year I tried the leeks I made the mistake of pulling them and not cutting at the base , older and wiser now! But I really like the taste. I will hopefully later in the year have some more spare if your interested? Thanks again.
