Dan has tried his best and I should like to thank him for that, but I'm still in the dark about getting a snap onto (or into) the gallery.  Anyone else like to try and explain, in the layest of laymans terms? ? ?  ???

Hi
Take me an age to decipher Dan's instructions too  ::)..but that is my inadequate brain ...nothing to do with Dan's info !!
Apparently the easiest and quickest way for beginners is to scan your photo then send as an attachment in your E mail to the Admin address  ;D
Best of luck!

Bannerdown, when you have scanned your picture, don't forget to save it to somewhere like, my documents, so you can send it as an attatchment.

Good luck.
Chloe:)

OK - shall we try one foot at a time? The partially sighted leading the one-eyed? Pity I can't just copy it all to your address, saving clutter.

There are many websites which will store your photos, but the one I hit upon was www.hpphoto.com - because I happen to have an hp printer. I could have used the canon site because I have a canon camera.

1. Go to the site, sign in, get what info you can from it and come back here.

2. Meanwhile, as advised, make sure your photo is in My Documents or whatever. - Tim

OK - people are getting impatient?

So let's try to follow that with this -

So -  HPPHOTO (C = left click: RC = right click) â€" C upload photo â€" C browse = my documents â€" select photo (must be of types listed) â€" name album â€" C upload now â€" BE PATIENT! â€" tick photo to send â€" C create link â€" C large â€" C highlight text â€" RC on URL â€" C  copy â€" delete page or go straight to message board â€" create reply â€" put cursor where you want your photo â€" RC â€" C on paste â€" your URL should appear â€" prefix it with [ img ] and suffix it with [ /img ] â€" without the spaces - preview, post and hope!!! - Tim  (Any complaints to your MP - not me!}

He's cookin' with gas. Now explain how to get my own individual little picture on my profile as like with those Haloween doodas.  In dead simple terms like what a duffer can understand, My brain hurts. Leave no tern unstoned.
Ta and much respect oh learned one.
Gardening is the great leveller.

Yeah right and how proud I was a while back that I got it all figuered out and after several tries I managed to get my pictures on the gallery. Just like it was supposed to work whoopieeeeeeeeeeeeeee! A few days later.... all gone. Put it back again, proud all over again, could do it by heart now and was getting really good at it. Pictures gone again, I give up. If I have a picture now that I really would like to show to you all, I'll just mail it to Dan like I did with the first ones. Not all is lost, I learned some new things on the p.c. Looking back, Dan's explanations were very clear. I wonder if there are any forums just about how to do things on the computer. Like this lottie board, anyone can ask any thing about gardening and people will share what they know. If anybody finds one of those, let us know please. -Ina

Ps: You did a fine job too Tim, a good step by step guide, the only thing I did different was that when I got to the step where you tick the photo to send, I CR on properties and copied the URL, pasted on the board and surrounded it with the img things. I replaced my three bean picture doing it your way with the create link button. I don't have much hope my picture stays on but who knows. Both ways come down to the same thing, 6 of one and half dozen of the other.

SO much of the clever stuff - that you never knew was there - comes from just a single or double RIGHT click in the right place!! - Tim

Thanks for the addy for comp questions Magpie, I'll take a look soon, who knows what handy tidbits I may pick up there. -Ina

Magpie, the site is great! Exactly what I was looking for and Clint (my partner) is thrilled about it too. As I am writing this, he is chomping at the bit to get onto that site and start exploring. Again an example of why I like this allotment site better than the beeb because you would not have been able to give me the addy. Only problem is that our whole pc system is in Dutch so it's a real challenge to find the exact translation that is used but often going with the meaning first and then finding something that is similar will do the job. -Ina

Hi Ina
Glad to be of help  ;D  and I shall certainly be using it, as my newish computer has a strange habit of booting up every time the phone rings!!! Have asked several blokes who service our computer suite at work..all gave different solutions ...and none of them cured it!!   ::)  Just glad their advice was given without charge!!!  ;D
At least Tim can concentrate on his invaluable  gardening advice now we've found a computer forum!!   ;)  ;D ( unless of course he has any thoughts on the above mentioned problem!!  ;)   ;D )
Oops......sorry Tim ......getting carried away with IT problems again!!  ::)
