I have some kale, purple sprouting and brussels seeds. Is it too late? (we're in greater London, so reasonably mild and garden is quite sheltered.)

Not that I expect the children will eat any of these!

Kale -ok, purple sprouting ok but may be late-occuping plot for a long time into Spring? Brussels, probably is too late but depends on variety.
Kids? Why do you expect that they won't eat their greens ,is it optional in your household?

LOL! optional?! I wish I had any say in the matter. #1 son is extremely fussy and doesn't eat any veg at all! #2 son and I loves Brussel spouts, but that's about it. I don't even like kale. But I thought it'd be nice to have something growing in the winter (and if nothing else we can give it to neighbours/friends or use it as a green manure!)

I will sow or possibly chit them today or tomorrow - we've nothing to lose!
