Allotments 4 All

Hi folks

I put some of these in last year and they have started to multiply but now it seems they are running to seed. Should I remove the flower heads or just let nature take it's course?

I would remove the seed heads and use as soon as you can

...or... let them seed and have lots of free plants

Just a wee update on this one. I allowed them to seed and saved the seed. Then they quite merrily threw out leaves again. I'm now using the saved seed for this years scallions for pulling up and using whole and I have more than enough. The original plants are flowering again this year but some heads produced no seed :( Possibly the first flowers came and went before the pollinators really got busy. Hopefully my little perennial trough of bunchers will produce enough seed for me sow masses of spring onions year on year.
