Allotments 4 All

The good news is we had 1/2 inch of rain last night, the bad news is that that is the total increase in water depth in my water butt from the entire roof.  So not even 1/2 a can full.

I looked at rain today and about 5:45 we had a large orange blob right on top.  Imagine my excitement.   We have had no significant rain for weeks.   Went outside and admired Orion.   Stars were magnificent no sign of a cloud anywhere.

Maybe tomorrow.   

 
The weeds are getting very excited.

Shame it has stopped already.

Been heavy rain here in Swindon since last night.

Just as well - can't go to the plot been poorly with the bug that's doing the rounds all week 

Dense fog - which turned pink just as the sun came up!  Very pretty but only lasted a few minutes.

Wet and very windy, not nice.

Rained for most of yesterday and all night, for a few hours this morning but has cleared up and brighter for the time being. 

Thunder and lightening, heavy rain last night and again this morning ..but now the sun has put his hat on ...and blue skies again Mullion Cornwall 

Rain, rain and more rain.  The vegetable garden is so muddy and I have almost 2 inches of mud clinging to my outdoor shoes from when I dug some potatoes out this morning.  Ugh! 

I got soaked through too despite having a coat on and had to change into a complete set of dry clothes when back indoors.

Heavy rain in the night. Very wet and quite windy so far today too.

Same here, garden is getting squelchy again, big puddles in surrounding fields - are we getting flooded again all winter like last year? And it is damp and dark which makes it feel much colder than it is.

Lovely yesterday, wet and yucky today.

It looks like I chose the best time to visit my sister here in Calgary! I arrived in sunny, warm (17C) weather on the 14th and it has been like that ever since, with the exception of Wednesday when it was only 10C and very windy. There is so much sky here at 3000ft above sea level - and it's all bright blue. We are going to drive out to the small town just north of here where I used to live to have a look around. Apparently it has grown almost beyond recognition in the 14 years since I left so it should be interesting.

A sharp fall in temperatures is forecast for Sunday, so maybe this beautiful late 'Fall' weather will soon be over and there is a chance of snow flurries next week. I may yet get a chance to see some snow before I leave for soggy old England.

Showers and some nasty gusts.  Quite hard to stay on my bicycle at times - and it isn't even the great storm yet.  The second I got home, the sun started shining, but now it is raining again.

Very windy with showers but with worse to come on Monday, batten down the hatches peeps.   

Not too bad today- quite windy at times but mostly dry and a bit of sun. Still only forecasting 22mph winds here on Sun/Mon.
