looks a bit like a teasel growing
round hollow stem
leaves teaselish, opposite, with little secondary stems growing out
no flowers unfortunately

and errm 8ft tall :)

it's from the niger seed. I thought that was a thistle, and didn't know it got that big

Niger seed is usually irradiated for that reason so it should not grow. XX Jeannine
