I love seeing them about the place, though I often give a yelp or jump of surprise when I uncover one by chance in an odd place!

Is it funny coloured leaf..like dying/old cabbage leaf or something? 
Hmm...but they don't go pink they go yellow..ornamental cabbage..they go pink!?

Nope, not ornamental cabbage. I tried growing them once, not great, feasted on by assorted beasties.
