This is getting silly and going to take up masses of memory so;
Seeing as how this is my topic, I'm taking the liberty of changing tack.

The new way to go is to give just the title of a 'Top Ten UK hit' song/tune with the name of the singer/group and everyone can guess at the year it came out.

Only rule is that the song must be pre-2000. If you guess the year right, then you get to add the next Title/Artist. I'm watching and checking all the answers; OK?
So, off you go....and here's your easy starter; (Just want the year)

'The Last Waltz'. Englebert Humperdink

Val

Haven't a clue...the other song would've stopped anyway....neither of us knew anymore words.... ;D

wardy

My guess is 1967  :)

Wardy (I was ten years old at the time) but I can probably still sing it all the way through.  I wonder should I go or should I stay .......  ;D
I came, I saw, I composted

Tulipa

Wardy we must be the same age!  And I can sing it through too.  I can picture singing it in the kitchen where the radio was and we moved from that house late '67 so it must be around then.

Val

 ;D Good heavens you babies..sing it...sob, sob....I danced to it. ;D

Corrrect :) Now it's your turn

PS I have tickets for Rod in May at Sheff Arena (can't wait) ;D

OK let's make it a bit more difficult:

Well, the night I was born
Lord I swear the moon turned a fire red
The night I was born
I swear the moon turned a fire red
Well my poor mother cried out "lord, the gypsy was right!"
And I seen her fell down right dead
