Hi folks, just came back from the 3week hols in turkey,it was still 22 degress ,got some seeds from the local plants ,but mostly I spent alot of time feeding the apts sites three street dogs ,everyone has gone home and the dogs are forgoten they guard the site over the winter the security men would feed them but they left and a new chap is on site, Iv'e bought a large sack of dryed food for them, and asked him to feed them and gave him some money to buy more ,hoping he will ,they are lovely dogs, but there are thouands just dumped on the streets each year by expats and turks ,if they are lucky they get picked up and steralized and fed for a few weeks and then put back on the streets ,some end up being beaten to death and others just get very ill and die ,Ive had to get a 12week old pup put down it was so bad with mange the vet said there was nothing he could do for it, I was broken harted to get it put to sleep, but new nobody cared about him . well  apart from all that ,we had a lovely time and went to Istanbul for 3days ,did the usuall tourist things, we even traveled there by train £6 each for a 300 mile trip we loved it,went on the local coach to Izmer 2Hrs £4 each and you get free water and tea and cakes it was good fun.best start saving for next year ,its never stopped raining since we got back.

Well..that sounds like it was good break.

Last time we went for 'proper' holiday...I ended up feeding local stray cats for 2 weeks..they did look so sorry for themselves.
...and I ended up pinching cuttings and setting them on our balcony.. :drunken_smilie:..I was so bored..so desided not to have that sort of 'sunny' holidays anymore. I might as well potter away in home and look after local wild life..

I bet you are 'itching' to get your seeds going.. :toothy10:  (no dirty comments to that, thank you!)

Ifyou  could describe the plants/fruit from which you collected the seeds from..and if we could see the seeds (photo?)...there is chance that we could identify them for you and help you with sowing times and methods.

Hi the  seed of the plant is black about the size of a pepper corn ,the plant has pink flowers and lemon, peach they look like bizzie lizzies only big and bushy about 2ft high and wide,as for photos am rubbish but will get OH to help me  :blob7: the other one was a climbing type with shocking pink trump type flowers with a white eye ,black seeds the pod is like a wee green flower with rised dome center , I will look up the RHS plants book and see how I get on good luck GL
