Hello all.

Has anyone used this hoe?

I know it is expensive, but if it's any good I can put it on Santa's list.

Use one Tony and you'll see why they are 40 quid... well worth it.. How much do you pay for a new shed - 300? so 40 is not bad..

It looks like a d**n good tool to me. I always have problems hoeing in the allium beds but this looks as though it would do the business!

I'm busy making a half size one now for hand hoeing... It will be great for the onions, garlic and leeks.

My son has a works unit where he builds 4x4's where his friend and 4x4 racing buddy is in the next door unit and is a welder guy... so I just get them made as needed.. I does cost me a couple of beer cans tho... and I have to wait my turn... the 4x4's get done first - not dad's hoe!!

Having watched the video I was impressed a little so searched for a cheaper price and found some reviews:

I will stick with my standard garden hoe for now but may consider steves option

Hello all.

Thanks for your comments. Yes it is expensive, but I think it's worth asking Santa for one.

Honestly they are absolutely the best... no effort needed at all.. I'm going to my son's workshop today to get my smaller one fast-tracked into the work in progress pile on the workshop to do list!! And going to get a normal size done for the OH home garden..

I have had and used for some 20 years a swoe, they look a bit like a golf club but are about this best tool I have used.

small

I've used a swoe for over 20 years. It sits beautifully in the hands, it is so light, and you can get right between even onions with it. It shares favourite tool spot with my mini-secateurs.

Strange reply BritBrat - I never said it was a "Swoe Hoe"... neither did the the original post that I replied to!! If you see the first link it has "Speed Hoe" in the wording - nothing about a swoe... !!   If you looked at the link I posted you would have seen that it shows the info and instructions on a "Speed Hoe"

So swoe hoe never entered my equation.. !

I use this find it very good

I use one of those too... you can do everything from delicate scuffling to knock down seedlings to wielding it like a mattock to hack through tough stuff in my experience...
