Always had a problem growing these from bought seeds. My favourites had to be moved so I sprinkled seed from the pod on a couple of trays  :toothy10:

They's doing well!! Nice lot you have there.

I have managed to grow them from bought seed - 2 packets of Kings Seeds as they were cheap.
One lot failed but I tired again and bingo..

I potted mine on individually and plonked them into a coldframe over winter. I planted them out the following spring and they did brilliantly. They've since self-seeded and crossed.

Mine were single bi-coloured affairs. What type are yours?

For anyone else who has trouble with bought Aquilegia seeds. try gently rubbing them between two pieces of fine sand-paper. not too hard, just enough to abrade the coating so that water can get into the seed itself.
Gardening is the great leveller.

No idea of the type, I think the yellow one was a Mc something, the other was a very dark blue double  :happy7:

Sounds very posh. You should get some interesting off-spring in a year or two. Good luck with them.
