Well we got a Email from the Lotty association to let us know that 11  allotments were broken into, we jumped in- to the car and went to see what damage has been done,we were lucky we hadn't been touched ,we had a look at some of the other damaged sheds, the strange thing was that most folk said they had no thin stolen ,we think they were looking for powered tools, it was the damage they did some pepole need new doors ,its sickening ,our Lotty's are open plan anyone can walk into your plot as we have a public walkway so we can't secure the site as it would cost thouands, as it very large on veg was taken oh said he love to catch themwon't say what he'd do to them :o

sorry to hear this, the b@@@@@@s!
could you plant some form of defensive barrier such as pyracanthus or berberis (sp) to keep them out,or at least put them off? we are currently doing this at our place,as the railings around the perimeter are so old they are useless.
when the going gets tough, the tough go digging

Thank you for your idea of planting the shrubs with spinney thorns ,will put this forward to the allotment Gods and hope they take it on board  ;D It won't take much to do that cheaper than fencing,It doesn't take much to piss folk of with a bad year with veg now this some are taking o packing in there Lotty's shame :(
