Looking out of my upstairs window in South Leicester 7am, could I believe my eyes, that looks like frost on next doors roof! Surely not! but taking the dog for his morning walkies over the back field it's a definite, the grass had frost on. Can't get up to the 'lotty until this evening to find out if this was just a localised phenomenon, hopefully not, but still 'frost in August!'

When I got up I had to shut all the windows and put a jumper on.
We had a night low of 5deg here in Surrey.
Fingers crossed it is just a blip, and we still have a bit of summer left.
If there's nothing wrong with me, maybe there's something wrong with the universe!

We had a real keen frost here in South yorks this morning, took some dahlias and other tender stuff out. Beans don't look too happy .
I don't think I can remember a frost in Aug before .Can any one else?
Really odd weather this year..
Cheers .. Jim

Very cold here last night.  Went to lottie at 6:30 this morning not a frost luckily but pretty nippy. I could see my breathe when I went hrrr.

Unfortunately did not know it was coming, forgot to cover me pumpkin.  Luckily it has a bale f straw keeping it warm.

We were in our campervan near Hadrian's wall on Thursday night and it was blooming cold- certainly looked like there had been a frost on Friday morning.

Please, I know we didn't have a Spring and only two weeks of summer in July but, please, pretty please with sugar on top, can we have an effing autumn before winter?
