getting sweet peas to flower?

The ones on my allotment flowering madly but the same ones at home in large glazed pot won't flower......any ideas?

It could be bud drop caused through irregular watering. I have just had my worst year ever for sweet peas, the first sown last Oct. were destroyed  by a badger, the second (plants given by a friend) where eaten by the deer and the 3rd  lot from a very late sowing have hardly been worth keeping. I have just ordered seed for next year in hope.

MY sweet pea were wild!!
lots of diffrent color flower and the smell was a really nice.
i planted mine in late Feb in trays and then in the allotment late April

Same here Laurei, grew Linda C (as I would) a Spencer variety which flowered far too late for our show in June, but in abundance now  ::). Think of them as peas, a hungry and thirsty crop Kea.

Yss they've been watered and fed.....the buds are there. Got some the same the allotment just the same level of care just more exposed and i've had masses of flowers on them ???
