Hi guys

We went for another walk around a beautiful National Trust garden today and we spotted this flower.  Please see attached photo.  I think it's a dwarf Iris but needs an experts eye.

Thanks guys!

What an interesting looking plant. The leaves look not dissimilar to Lily of the Valley and it seems to be in a shaded damp area.

I'd be interested to know what it is. Definitely iris-like flowers.

Try this link: Pineapple Lily...although it isn't this the leaves are remarkably similar I think.

Looks like a roscoea:a humeana hybrid may be?

Hi John85 I think you have nailed it.  It could be this Roscoea humeana 'Purple Streaker'

Thanks John I'll look into purchasing one of these.

Well done John! How did you find it or have you grown it yourself?

Lots of varieties it seems (link): Roscoea is a large genus of around 18 species
