Allotments 4 All

I sowed sweetcorn, quinoa and sorghum seeds 2 days ago..and they are already germinating.. :o According to moon planting cycles, I've managed to sow my 'grain crops' in ideal time. Do you think there is any 'thruth' behind the idea or has my seeds just been very efficient?
I've never sown guinoa or sorghum before so I really don't know what to expect with their germination... ???

Perhaps the the temperature  was ideal, and the seeds could sense that the day-length pointed to urgency. I keep an open mind, but look for rational explanations first.

I think there's a lot to be said about moon gardening/ planting. I have done a bit of it, but not enough to say absolutely defininatly it works, I am just not strict enough with myself to plant or sow certain things at certain times.

I know people who do and they swear by the moon method, its worth a go if you are more regimented than me ;D

I've never actually thought of doing it as such. I've read about moon planting. I only thought of it as I was so surprised how quickly my seeds germinated..and when I checked on it, my sowing just happened to be in right time according the charts.
I would love to trial it though..but as my life is...being regimented is not my strongest point neither.

look for rational explanations first. Huh..it is easier to look the unrational.. ::) I did sow the seeds as I would any other..popped them into propagator and that's it. I might trial some left over seeds in couple of weeks time when I should not be sowing grains according the charts and see if it makes any difference.. or not.. ::) ;D..who said gardening can be boring.. ;D
