Hi, just a quick question.

Do I have to pay the full 12 month rent in one go now?

I'm sure I read somewhere that I could pay 3 monthly if I so choose?

Thanks

It all depends how your association or council is set to run with rents. There is no national rules to that so you have to approach those who you pay it to.

Legally you can pay quarterly, once it exceeds a nominal amount... about £15 I think. That's what the law says but how it is administered does vary considerably...  :-X

Thanks for the replies.

I'll just pay it in full, would have been nice to spread the cost is all.

Never mind

It's 25 shillings - £1.25, but only for council-let sites.

This gets asked most years- I would suggest a plot kitty.
When you bring home a barrow load of fruit and veg from the plot and cook a lovely meal with it, put a couple of quid in the kitty! as it would have cost you far more to purchase at the supermarket . :D A word of warning though- do not spend all day at the plot and come home so exhausted that you end up spending the kitty money on  a  takeaway  ;D ;D ;D
Soon mounts up and before you know it next years plot fees paid up front

Iv just taken on 4 1/2 rods! the goods news is it's free for the first six months! the bad news is from Oct 2012 rents going up from £10.50 per rod to £18.00 per rod, council gonna get there money one way or the other.

Regards Derek :-X
