I went in to our local Costco (Watford) and the fruit trees are back again this year.  £11.99, so rather more expensive than the Lidl or Aldi offerings, but no comparison in terms of quality.  I guess that these are two year old trees, with a nice shape and very vigorous, in 7.5 litre pots.

For what you get, they're a real bargain.

not that i could ever get there, nor know anyone with membership ::) but do you know what varieties they are... am just a tad  :P curious!!

I only had a quick glance, but there were Sunburst cherries plus a dark cherry, lots of apple varieties - James Grieve, Golden Delicious, Ingrid Marie are ones I remember.  They had a blue plum that wasn't known to me, but I've forgotten the name.

Last year they had several pear varieties too.

If I go back over there soon, I'll make a note.  :)

I was passing yesterday, so I popped in and made a note of varieties.  The blue plum seemed to have sold out temporarily, but they'd also got soft fruit bushes beginning to come in.  Again, super quality for the price.

Those who know Costco will also know that the offer may vary from store to store, so don't rely on my list 100%

seems quite impressive with varieties that are more than what you get in the other retailers.. thanks for that.. i'd fancy the blueberries myself, but if i'd known this before end of autumn last yr, i would of been tempted by the others but got them from other places... ::) do you know how much these were, and sizes?

The rasps were £6.99 IIRC for 10? maybe 12? canes.  I can't remember the price of the blueberries, but the plants were very good looking, a nice little bush about 8 inches across and I guess 5 or 6 inches high.

oh, if only i had one of those jobs in the listed professions, then i'd gladly pay the membership... i do have a brother who has, but unfortunately, i don't get on with him :-[
